There have been reports about WhatsApp Pay for quite some time that these apps may soon be launched in India. This payment service is being trialed in India from 2018. But there have been many hurdles in its launch. Some time ago, it was reported that WhatsApp Pay has got the green signal from NPCI in India and can be introduced soon. Now, according to the report, the wait for the users is almost on the verge of extinction. Because the digital payment app WhatsApp Pay can be launched in India by the end of this month. However, the company has not yet made any official announcement in this regard.
The Moneycontrol report says that the process of integration of Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI is in progress in WhatsApp Pay. It can be launched by the end of May. However, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank will be added to WhatsApp Pay initially. But after the launch, the company will integrate SBI into it.
WhatsApp Pay will be live in several phases as per the report. In the first phase, the app will be available with Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank. SBI facility will be available in the next phase. SBI is not ready for the first phase at present.
WhatsApp Pay has been available on the beta version for the last two years and there are many hurdles to live in India. Due to which it is delayed to launch. As per the report surfaced in the past, WhatsApp Pay was approved by NPCI, after which it was said that the app would be launched in several different phases.
