TikTok: Parents will now be able to control their children’s account

TikTok has added several new features with safety in mind. These features are, especially for young users. The first of these features will be family pairing. This feature will allow parents to link their TikTok account to their child’s account. In addition, the company is preparing to discontinue direct messages for users under 16 years of age on its platform.

If you talk about the family pairing feature in detail, parents will be able to link their TikTok account to their children’s TikTok account. You will then be able to add controls for features such as direct messaging, screen time management, and restricted mode.

In addition, the company is also going to discontinue direct messaging from April 30 to all users under the age of 16. The company said the decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of users and to protect the young user base.

Currently, TikTok has some policies and controls on messaging. For example, only approved followers can message each other and send images and videos in messages. But after the new features come from April 30, these rules are going to be even more stringent. Because direct messaging is going to stop completely for users under 16 years of age.
