Keeping the Coronavirus in mind, e-commerce site Amazon, Grofers and Big Basket have discontinued some of their services in India. According to Amazon, orders will not be taken for products other than essential products. The company has also discontinued its delivery system. On the other hand, only milk will be delivered on the big basket before 7 o’clock in the morning. On March 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a lockdown of the country for 21 days, after which the move has been taken on behalf of the companies.

Amazon’s products to be delivered:

According to Amazon’s official blog post, packaged food, healthcare, hygiene and personal safety products will be ordered. They will also be delivered.

Grofers shut down delivery:

With Amazon and Flipkart, groffers have also now temporarily discontinued the delivery of non-essential orders. The company has apologized to its customers for not delivering orders. The company has said in the message that we know that it is very important to deliver the necessary goods at this time, but the lockdown is not going to deliver at the right time. At the same time, many of our godowns are  closed. The grofers have issued a message in their app. According to the message, the Grofers are no longer accepting any kind of order. The company will also notify customers when the service is resumed.

Big basket is not delivering any other product except the supply of milk. But the company says milk will be delivered before 7 o’clock in the morning. On the other hand, the company, which delivers cheese to bread, has also discontinued its services. The company has said that delivery has been discontinued due to lockdown.

Flipkart recently discontinued services:

Recently, e-commerce site Flipkart has temporarily discontinued its services. There is a message on visiting Flipkart’s site, which says that we temporarily close our services, though we will try to come back soon. It is a very difficult time, “Flipkart wrote. It has never happened before. We have to ask you to stay in your homes and stay safe. We will come back soon.
