Figures revealed in government report

According to labor department data released, 701,000 jobs declined in the U.S. in March. The unemployment rate in the country rose to 4.4 per cent. The department has admitted that its statistical data could not include the entire loss caused by Covid-19.

It is estimated that people in the U.S. are becoming unemployed at large and that figure will rise further in April. The Trump administration has not declared a lockdown in the United States in view of the economic losses.

It is noteworthy that the cases of Covid-19 are on the rise worldwide. This has deserted U.S. cities and authorities are looking for ways to curb the damage to people and the economy. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has sought prime minister Narendra Modi’s help and requested to provide hydroxychloroquine tablets.

Even in India, corona virus cases are growing rapidly this week. The death figure is also increasing. However, things are still under control and people are being advised to follow the lockdown. Because this is the only way to prevent this virus from spreading.
